Few bands have carved as distinctive a niche in the heart of Mississippi music fans as BACKROADS from Bay Springs, Mississippi.  With their unusual combination of musical talent, high-energy, and versatility, they continue to draw large crowds wherever they go.  New Country, Old Country, Gospel, Rock-you name it, they can probably play it.  Band leader Stacy Blackwell, pictured on far left, said recently in an interview, "I never would have dreamed when we first got together that 20 plus years later we would still be in demand quite like we are.  We still put on an exciting, energetic show and we can get as wild as we always have, just not as often!"  Longevity, late nights, hard work, and a willingness to try anything are all part of the mix, but if there is a formula, not even BACKROADS can tell you what brings it all together, what makes it all work.  But as evidenced in their live show, something is definitely working.  Click on the links at the top and bottom of each page to tour their site and to find out more information about the "Pine Belt's Favorite Band".
